Privacy Notice
Dear Users,
When you access the PyCoM services (PyCoM, PyCoMweb, and the PyCoM API), we collect limited usage information to help us maintain and improve the platform.
For PyCoMweb, we use Google Analytics. For the PyCoM API, we rely on secure server log files hosted on Brunel University of London infrastructure.
These logs will temporarily record your IP address and information about which components of the database are accessed.
All usage statistics are processed in aggregated form, and IP addresses are deleted after processing. The resulting anonymised statistics are used solely to:
improve the PyCoM software, website, and underlying database;
report usage metrics (for example, access by country) in grant applications to support the long term sustainability of the service; and
summarise usage in scientific publications and on the PyCoM websites.
We do not collect or store email addresses or any other personally identifiable information.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding data collection or usage, please contact the PyCoM team at pycom@brunel.ac.uk.
